Monitor lizard in Lumpini Park, Bangkok

Monitor lizard in Lumpini Park, Bangkok

Lumpini Park is just a regular city park in Bangkok with playgrounds, sports facilities and an artificial lake where you can paddle around on a boat. It's also home to a number of absurdly huge monitor lizards. It's amazing to me that these lizards live right in the middle of a city park in a buzzing capital with 8 million people. Fortunately for all the people jogging picnicing here, they are pretty harmless.
