20 Best Travel Quotes For Inspiring Your Next Adventures

Get motivated to travel the world with some of my favourite inspirational travel quotes

For a while now I’ve been posting little bite-sized pieces of travel wisdom on my social media channels. I thought I’d bring all the travel quotes I’ve posted together in this post, paired with images from my adventures. I hope they inspire you to pack your bags and hit that open road to destiny!

1. “Surely, of all the wonders of the world, the horizon is the greatest.” – Freya Stark

I love this quote. In fact, I love it so much I used it for the opening page of my book, Travel the World Without Worries. I think it speaks to the idea of travel not just being about the destinations, but about the journey.

8. “It is fatal to know too much at the outset: boredom comes as quickly to the traveler who knows his route as to the novelist who is overcertain of his plot” – Paul Theroux

9. “Anything is possible on a train: a great meal, a binge, a visit from card players, an intrigue, a good night’s sleep, and strangers’ monologues framed like Russian short stories.”

Travelling by train is possibly the best way to see the world. It’s amazing to see the landscapes change gradually instead of just flying over them.
