The 40L backpack from the new lite collection truly lives up to its name. You can immediately sense the difference with its 1-pound lighter weight compared to the Travel Backpack Pro! This lighter load means less pressure on my back. Moreover, despite its reduced weight, this backpack doesn't sacrifice on space. I'm able to fit a substantial amount in both the main compartment and mesh compartments. Additionally, it has all the usual great Tortuga backpack features, such as the water bottle side pocket, front pocket and laptop area. You can also tuck the shoulder straps in at the back and carry the bag by the side handle. It's a straightforward and versatile choice for minimal organizers who simply need a lightweight backpack that gets the job done! I'm confident it can easily accommodate enough for a 2-week trip!

The bag seems larger than its 40-liter capacity, likely because of its simple design. When I filled the main compartment with most of my belongings, I was pleasantly surprised by the extra space in the two mesh zipper pockets in the lid. I appreciate the straightforward design since I use many pouches and organizers. The shoulder straps are excellently padded for comfort. My 14-inch laptop fits comfortably in the sleeve, along with its charger. Overall, it's a simple, lightweight, and well-built bag that suits my needs perfectly.

I am a big fan of the Travel Backpack Pro and this Lite version did not disappoint! It offers a remarkably light weight carrying experience, which makes it ideal for long term travel especially if you are smaller like me (5'2) The lighter shoulder straps and hip belt made it less bulky but still extremely comfortable! And the reduction in pockets allowed for a more spacious main compartment which I am a big fan of.
